Isay Weinfeld
Brazil-based Isay Weinfeld is a global architect with international appeal. Elegant private residences, luxurious hotels and chic, stylish restaurants across South America, Europe, the Caribbean and the United States—as well as furniture and decorative objects sold in the finest galleries in London, New York and São Paulo—embody Weinfeld’s timeless Modernist sensibility. Warm, sensuous materials, meticulous detailing and exquisite proportions are the hallmarks of Weinfeld’s style. Jardim brings an unprecedented architectural panache to the city: bold Brazilian design meets classic Manhattan living.
Designed by Weinfeld in collaboration with the cutting-edge New York landscape architecture firm Future Green Studio, Jardim’s private gardens are about more than just views. With broad floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious terraces integrated with indoor living areas, Jardim’s residences are designed as a full embrace of nature in the heart of West Chelsea. “I have always thought of Jardim as a refined and elegant building that would speak softly,” says Weinfeld of his debut ground-up New York project. “I’m not into sculptural architecture. The idea of doing something simple yet strong is what moves me.”
