Jardim Sul

The stepped volumes of Jardim Sul, one crafted from richly-textured concrete imprinted with the grain of wood planks, the other finished in classic ruddy-brown brick, create a slender profile on Jardim’s southern edge on West 27th Street. The tower’s compact footprint and intimate scale allow for full-floor residences with direct private elevator access and multiple exposures. Five two-bedroom residences offer expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors opening onto shady south- and east-facing corner terraces; a pair of three-bedroom duplex penthouses occupying the uppermost floors boast luxurious private terraces cascading with garden greenery.

Jardim Norte

Weinfeld designed each of Jardim’s intimately scaled, 11-story towers in a distinct but related architectural language, creating a unified, elegantly-proportioned, and richly-layered composition.

Sited along the property’s northern edge, fronting both West 28th Street and the central gardens, Jardim Norte is comprised of 29 residences ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, including a four-bedroom penthouse. Along the south-facing garden elevation, walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and sliding doors leading to private terraces give residences maximum daylight and landscape views. The north façade’s lower floors, finished in warm concrete bearing the richly-textured imprint of timber planks, are animated with a lively, irregular grid of sliding windows with pocketing wood screens. Integral planters and window boxes along the façade extend Jardim’s garden greenery up towards the sky.

Magnificent
Kitchens

Weinfeld’s bespoke designs elevate Jardim’s kitchens to the realm of finely crafted furniture. Doors and walls are wrapped in honey-hued American oak, with matching Italian-made cabinetry by Molteni. Dornbracht faucets and Molteni satin-finish stainless steel countertops and backsplashes add a luminous counterpoint to handsome floors of oil-finished oak or richly mottled quartz.

Opulent Bathrooms

Jardim’s bathrooms convey a sense of understated luxury with a soothing palette of warm, handcrafted natural materials and finishes: oil-finished oak vanities and wainscoting; graphite marble walls, floors and vanity tops; handsome brass faucets and rain showers.

Other top-caliber fixtures and features include carved limestone sinks designed by Weinfeld; Italian-crafted bathtubs by Teuco in a unique stone-like matte finish; Duravit toilets; fittings by Waterworks and radiant heat floors in all master bathrooms.

Indoor/Outdoor Living

Indoor /
Outdoor Living

Indoor-outdoor living is the essence of Jardim. Weinfeld’s elegant and seamless fusion of interior and exterior space—a true luxury in the dense urban environs of New York—is extraordinary in its expansiveness and scale. Visually and experientially, the residences and gardens are one with each other, forging a uniquely intimate connection between architecture and the natural world. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and windows with virtually invisible frames and pristine panes of glass usher in the light and breeze and inviting greenery of the gardens while elegantly diminishing barriers between indoors and outdoors.

Floor-to-ceiling telescoping door and window system

You’ve Heard of Pocket Doors, But Have You Ever Seen a Pocket Window?

The residences of Jardim boast a unique floor-to-ceiling door and window system with telescoping glass panels of uncommonly large dimensions. Designed with slender, virtually invisible frames and engineered for thermal and acoustic insulation, the pristine panes of glass effortlessly glide open to admit what the legendary modernist architect Le Corbusier, a proponent of great windowed expanses, called “the vastness of the outside world, the unity, impossible to counterfeit, of a landscape with tempest and radiant calm.” The pocket windows that Weinfeld designed for Jardim are equally inventive, with gliding panes that neatly retract into adjoining walls like interior pocket doors, opening up interior spaces to the outdoors without obstructions.
